What is disturbing to me is in the last week and a half I have reread all of his books, and I am finding so many discrepancies between the books. After enjoying Burrough’s bitchy humor for a few chapters, I began to find the stories lacking in burroufhs redeeming qualities. I couldn’t laugh anymore because I thought he was just plain cruel most of the time whether it be to animals, children or adults. Christmas rolls around once a year and I’m gonna get more books I feel obligated to read Many of them are about being gay in New York, being trendy and neurotic, being hopelessly gullible, being silly, being a tourist in the modern world, being self-obsessed and hating it.
