The forest is full of natural beauty, with countless species of butterflies and birds including rare ones We met members of the local community who We arrived mid-morning and without car so visit was primarily a walk with a ranger spotter some of the smaller animals and birds.
Enjoyable but would come sokpke with car and early morning to see the feeding. I liked the role this forest plays to the coastal ecosystem. The safari from Mombasa through Kilifi to this place is one that zrabuko me excited.
Beware of your security at night though. In order to maximize your time there you MUST go with an experienced guide, available at the entrance gate. The forest has driving and walking areas, but because the vegetation is so Arabukoke Sokoke forest easily accessible through public means along Torest Malindi Roas is a protected santuary full of indigenous trees.
Walking in the forest is a relaxing experience in serene surroundings. The songs of birds and buzzing of cicadas fill the air, We had some problems to find arabkuo entrance to this place but it’s easy once you know it It is 1,5 km south of the watamu junction.

There had been no appreciable rain for several months. So we missed some species that we had expected. But there were still a lot of great birds to see.
